"It seemed to me highly unlikely that there was a very definite case of rape. (although maybe it was neither christie nor miss marple who actually felt this way? it was hard to tell for sure, if they didn't, though.) including how often she denigrated women, which i also found surprising, and quite over the top. but i didn't like the writing and i found so much of it repetitive. i did enjoy the solving of the mystery, which was a surprise (i definitely fell for the red herring). This was my first miss marple book and i can't say that i liked it.
